Seven Points of Meditation Posture

1. Legs try to sit in the lotus or cross leg posture.
2. Right hand put on the plumb of left hand and the two thumbs should be touch each other.
3. Back should be straight, when the back straight the spine straight, when the the nerves straight, when the nerves straight the wind blow good way. when the wind blow good way the mind is clear and aware.
4. shoulder should be leveling and paralleling.
5. Neck and Chin:- Neck is the channel for all nerves to pass through our body. If the chin is tilt too high or too low the neck will not be straighten which will cause us feeling sleepy or drowsiness.
6. The tip of your tongue should be placed and slightly touching behind your upper front teeth.
7. Eyes if you want to focus on any objects such as light, statue or any thing that is physical you should have your eyes semi closed. other wise you can closed completely.
Note:- this seven points are according to Dharma text, but if you are flexible then you can try to sit in such posture, otherwise you could sit in your own way by that you feel more relax and comfortable which is very important for meditation.
